It's great to have someone finally write about what modeling is really like (unlike some of the things portrayed in ANTM)- aka being poked in the eyes repeatedly with glue/glitter/eyeliner/whatever, being talked about by casting director as if you're not in the room, and dealing with eccentric photographers. I went to this casting too and it was the biggest and most annoying cattle call of all time! I'm not really sure why they called every freaking agency in NYC for that but all I know it was annoying at the end of a really long day of going from casting to casting...

I do occasional free weights. And sit-ups a couple times a week. But truthfully, I hate exercise. I do walk around 3-5 miles daily, generally at breakneck speed because I'm perpetually 15 minutes late and/or lost and it takes that much walking to go 10 places in a day. I think that counts.

Some engineer friends found this trick on the interwebs and we gave it a go with Tesco Value Vodka...and it worked! It wasn't Belvedere but it wasn't bad either.

It always makes me sad that Americans don't drink vodka & diet coke very much. Bartenders in the US look at me like I'm crazy, but it's low-calorie and delicious!

Though a month or two ago I tried Black Sea, an estonian distilled vodka in Trader Joe's for 15 bucks. Quite good.

I have my DVR (Comcast) set to record "New Episodes ONLY." But for some fucking reason, Bravo doesn't seem to be coding the past two episodes correctly (Prom dress, Jeans), so that EVERY single time either of these episodes come on, my DVR records them. I can't tell you how many times I've had to delete these episodes from my queue. Yes, I know, it's a tiny inconvenience, but it sure is annoying.
