Since you started this site, it's been one of my favorite daily reads. And, in a completely detached, ohmygoddon'tlookican'tlookaway sort of way, I love this article, owing in no small part to how much I love the way Moe writes. But.

And the commenter community here is the best, and everyone knows it. But.

No one's bringing this up? No one's as amazed as I am that Moe changed her clothes and climbed into bed with this genetic black hole? I mean, I'm all for both sexual deviance and investigative journalism, but there was this beautiful opportunity to say something like, "Does your 'no street clothes in bed rule' actually work for you to get women's clothes off?" but instead she puts on his boxer briefs?

Maybe I'm suddenly a prude, but I just can't get past it. I feel like Moe started out with a brilliant and ballsy premise, and then let the guy use a "Want to help me set my alarm clock?" caliber line to quite literally get her pants off. And even if she was cool and standoffish, the guy gets some excitement, pleasure, and sense of conquest out of the deal. He got to jack off under the blanket for god's sake.

I really really really hate to say it, but this was, on some level, a win for Paul Janka. And that sucks.

Wow...coming in on this a bit late and I am sure the following comments won't be real popular anyway, but I find that whole article kind of creepy.

For a start, I struggle with the fact that Moe would put up with all that behaviour for the sake of an article. I thought this site was all about equality etc but what male reporter would be expected to do sometting like that?

Mainly though, the way in which he kept doing that stuff and Moe didn't call him on it but kept putting herself in escalating situations of risk, from the hallway to the bed in his boxers, that can't be good. What message do you think that was communicating to the guy (who I think is a complete lunatic, to be honest)? Someone with his mindset would definitely read that as she does want him and is just playing hard to get, otherwise she would have been out the door. Not saying she was "asking for it", because no girl EVER deserves to be raped even if she walks naked through s maximum security prison naked, but it certainly was putting herself in a position where the title of this article could have been "Paul Janka Did Date Rape Me Last Night".

Moe's a big girl and can make the decision to do that if she wants, but the lesson Paul Janka would have taken out of this is that I can invite a girl over and continually touch her and make moves on her and try and get her into bed and touch myself under the covers and I won't suffer any consequences other than more publicity. So what happens with the next girl who is at his apartment and isn't as...robust as Moe?

I wanted to like that Moe did this, but can't really. I just don't see the point, except that it was another sensationalist post that I guess gets a lot of pageviews.

The guy is creepy, I think most women agree with that, and while Moe made him douchey, this part bothered me:

@Kataluna: I think the real question is WHAT IS WRONG WITH DUDES LIKE JANKA? I mean, come on, lady, I know that I too questioned Moe's ethics and intentions (wondering if she had told him to stop, and if she did, what he did, and if she didn't, why), but if he had gotten on top of her and just fucked her without her consent it would be rape. And it would not be her fault. You don't always know who "the wrong guy" is. You don't know that he won't respect your wishes to just hang out/kiss/whatever.
