@TOBERMORY: Sorels. Uggs are not designed for true winter wear. Anyone who knows a proper winter (like here in toronto) would know they wouldn't last 5 seconds without salt stains all over them that would render them disgusting immediately, Winter boots need to be waterproof, and you need to be able to clean them. Otherwise, you are wasting your money.

I moved to northern NJ about a year ago, and Uggs are all over the place here. I can definitely see the appeal, but after reading the comments from the anti-Ugg contingent, I'm way too scared to buy a pair. So, what do you wear around here when it's cold and icy that won't get sneers from a random Jezzy? I'm still dragging out my college era Tims (and now you know how ancient I am).
