i actually *am* an anti-gym client...25-year-old female. i used to have eating disorders, have tried a million unhealthy ways to lose weight, and have never, until working out here, attained the kind of health i am in at this gym.

i am a bleeding-heart liberal, a feminist, and have a solid libarts education which has made me very socially conscious.

his marketing is one thing--the results from his gym are another. i have trained with a million trainers at a million gyms: i FINALLY know how to eat right, know how to slim down and yet stay strong, muscular, energetic, and happy.

you would be amazed. to have someone who gives enough of a shit to email with you every day, see what you're eating, push you to challenge yourself, be heart healthy....maybe you would say i'm too weak to do it myself. but if you came to this gym you would see hundreds of people such as myself who have been unable to healthfully acheive what they have under the program michael has designed.

The thing I am most curious about is who is buying into this schtick. Like, who sees these commericals and thinks "this is the gym for me!!"? There are certainly enough self-righteous fitness dickheads in this city, but are any supposed "chubbies" convinced by being bombarded with obnoxious sexism?

Regardless, the fact that I'll never have to see one of these commericals again makes me so much less sad that I'm moving out of Denver.
