Back in November, Jezebel noticed that designer Zac Posen's spring/summer 2008 line wouldn't have looked out of place on Nicki Grant, Chloë Sevigny's fundamentalist Mormon "Big Love" character.

@washionfore: Completely agree with the boring. When these shows come around, isn't part of the fun seeing clothes that you could never actually wear, yet there's the challenge of figuring out how you can adapt the style to real life? This is just, well, like clothes you could buy anywhere and we've seen a million times already.

@flackette: I think Posen is probably the gay Zach Braff. Kind of cute, kind of wimpy, and extremely annoying. They even look somewhat similar.

That said, I adore this man's clothes. They're consistently wearable and interesting. What more could you want?

i am also too poor to ever afford a zac posen anything. unless he makes a perfume that becomes popular enough with middle aged women that it is sold at tj maxx. that being said, i think this collection is beautiful. nary a dead mouse pendant in sight.

Sadly, I always connect Zac Posen and his pretty clothes to this Jay McCarroll quote:
"I'm not an exclusive person. I'm not Zac Posen, who secretly gets off on selling $7,200 dresses when he knows they cost $160 to make. I hate Zac Posen."
