World's Worst Father Blames Child Pornography Collection on Own Kids

A man from Coventry, England tried to blame his sizeable collection of illegal child pornography on his own children. According to police, between 2001 and 2003, 43-year-old Andrew Martin downloaded numerous images of girls as young as five being raped, and backed them up on CD.

The Coventry Telegraph (via Vice) reports:

“When Martin was interviewed in December he attempted to deflect responsibility onto one of his sons, and then onto that boy’s older brother.”

The judge was less than impressed by Martin’s defense, noting that his sons would have been under the age of six during the time the crimes were committed.

“Sentencing Martin, who was ordered to register as a sex offender for five years, the judge told him: ‘You made things worse by lying about what you had done, first by blaming one son, who would have been three or four, and then the other, who would have been five or six. This was utterly shameful behaviour.’”
