Woman Gives Birth in Car While Husband Films and Drives 

A video shows a Houston woman giving birth to a 10-pound baby boy while her husband unsuccessfully attempts to reach a birthing center in time.

According to KHOU-TV Lesia Pettijohn and her husband Jonathan were stuck in traffic and had been sitting in the car for an hour and fifteen minutes, when Lesia went into the final stages of labor. Jonathan recorded the event on camera, continuing to drive the entire time. “The only reason I would pull over is if there is something wrong that needed to be dealt with immediately,” Jonathan told the Houston station.

The video, about four minutes long, shows Jonathan directing Lesia as she gives birth to a healthy 10-pound baby. She handles it really, really well – particularly the part where after she gives birth he says, “We did it! High-five, babe!” She doesn’t even glare.

Both baby Josiah and mother are doing fine.
