AdvertisementThe substitute was caught by a school paraprofessional when she saw him sitting in the hallway and was afraid that he had somehow hurt himself. However, this was far from what was going on:When she approached him, she said, she realized that the 72-year old substitute teacher had his hand stuck down his pants and was "manipulating his penis."The school paraprofessional then notified school officials, who notified police. At that point, school officials removed Luecke from the class he was calmly teaching.Gross. I am all for masturbation (it is an excellent form of stress relief and substitute teaching must be stressful), but DO IT AT HOME, DUDE! If you've got a few extra minutes before class look over your notes and familiarize yourself with the roll sheet, take a few moments to collect your thoughts before you are mercilessly ripped apart by high school students who think they've got jokes, go get a drink from the drinking fountain to remind yourself how awful school water is—what I'm trying to say is do anything besides sit on the floor and jerk it. (Anything.) AdvertisementWhat's worse is that Luecke may have been looking at students as he pleasured himself. While it's not clear whether students saw what he was doing (and the surveillance footage has not been released), it is clear that Luecke's behavior was way beyond inappropriate and could potentially be psychologically damaging to the teens who may have witnessed his act. School officials are working to identify the students who may have seen Luecke masturbating and plan to offer them counseling.Luecke has been charged with public indecency, breach of peace and risk of injury to a minor. He has no prior criminal record. Image via Newslinq.
