Since 2010, women have been accusing photographer Terry Richardson of inappropriate behavior on the set of photo shoots. But many publications have hired Richardson — repeatedly — since the allegations surfaced.

In a new, exclusive letter sent to Page Six, Richardson calls the claims a "witch hunt" and insists that the accounts from models who felt coerced and sexually harrassed are "lies."

People have become comfortable concocting hate-filled and libelous tales . . . In writing this, I make a humble attempt at correcting these rumors…

I collaborated with consenting adult women who were fully aware of the nature of the work, and as is typical with any project, everyone signed releases . . . I have never used an offer of work or a threat of rebuke to coerce someone into something that they did not want to do. I give everyone that I work with enough respect to view them as having ownership of their free will and making their decisions accordingly.

Shooting a model and then whipping out your dick and suggesting she touch it may not technically be a threat or coercion, but it's also not very professional, and creates a problematic dynamic, since a model is meant to be guided by and obey a photographer. And yet! Terry Richardson is getting lots of work.

The venerable men's publication — first printed in 1957 and now owned by Condé Nast — works with Richardson extensively. The Creative Director is Jim Moore; the Senior Photo editor, Krista Prestek, has been there for 8 years.

Harper's Bazaar

This women's fashion magazine — first published in 1867 and owned by Hearst — has a few different editions, worldwide, and Richardson has shot plenty for them, as well. At the U.S. edition, the current Creative Director is Stephen Gan; the Design Director is Elizabeth Hummer; the Deputy Photography & Bookings Editor is Ashley Curry Taliento.
