‘Bridesmaids’ Scores WGA Nod

'Bridesmaids' Scores WGA Nod You're probably still crying after Kristen Wiig debunked any rumors of a Bridesmaids sequel (and Chris O'Dowd announced on Twitter that he's marrying someone who is not you), but wipe those eyes because it's not all bad! Writers Guild nominations have been announced and among them are none other that Wiig and co-scribe Annie Mumolo. Bridesmaids has been nominated for Best Original Screenplay.

If Writers Guild nods are truly the road to Academy Award contention, will Bridesmaids be the movie to finally get comedies some Oscar love? Come on, ladies. Climb that statuette like a tree.
