The thing about Joan & Melissa is that it's obviously a scripted "reality" show, but since Joan Rivers is doing the writing, it's actually really funny. So on last night's episode when Joan smoked weed in a car parked in a cul-de-sac, it didn't really matter if the whole thing was most likely staged (and that Melissa's acting skills are horrendous) — it still worked. The premise was that Joan was really stressed out from dealing with the parents of Melissa's boyfriend, who were visiting from out of town. So she went and got a medical marijuana prescription to deal with anxiety. She subsequently went bong-shopping and visited a head shop where she purchased a strain of pot called "Louis XIII." She and a friend smoked weed out of pipe with a pig on it; hilarity (and the munchies) ensued. By the end of the episode, she jumped into a hot tub with her clothes on and drank water out of her shoe. We'll have what she's having. More »

I don't know if I've ever seen someone freak out at the idea of not being able to smoke weed as much as Jenelle did on last night's Teen Mom 2. After being put on probation stemming from an arrest for possession of drug paraphernalia, Jenelle's lawyer warned her not to do any drugs, drink any booze or "get in trouble" for an entire year. She didn't take the news very well, openly sobbing about how jealous she is of her boyfriend because he can go home and smoke a blunt while she cannot, because, as her mother has said, she's strung out on weed. While not being able to smoke weed for a year is, indeed, a bummer, it's just that — a bummer. It's not the end of the world. It's certainly not something you should cry about on camera when you're planning on regaining custody of your son. And speaking of her son, Jenelle must've gone about year without weed before anyway, seeing as how she was pregnant, right? Right? More »

TSA agents are aware that we all thinks they're jerks, so as part of their campaign to convince Americans that they can be our kind of cool big brother, they let a dude keep his rather large supply of weed. Rapper Freddie Gibbs Tweeted a photo of the drug in question along with a note of inspection that reads, "C'mon son." It's certainly possible that this is fake, but we prefer to think that the TSA's new policy involves simply guilting us into following the rules rather than acting like tweezers are a deadly weapon. Roseanne Barr hasn't been shy about her stance on legalizing weed. On last night's episode of Roseanne's Nuts, she used her reality show as a platform to help normalize the issue and reduce some of the stigma surrounding pot. Roseanne has a medical marijuana license in California, prescribed to her for anxiety, and she went to apply for one in Hawaii, but learned that the qualifications are much different—and more stringent—in that state, and the drug is not prescribed for anxiety. Still, Roseanne qualified for a license because of her migraines, but also discovered that you have to wait three months for it to arrive in the mail and when you finally do get it, you actually have to grow the marijuana yourself. So instead of all that hassle, she flew back to L.A. for a few days and bought some pot cookies and chilled with one of her hippie friends. More »
