The trailer for the film that took Jon Stewart away from us for an entire summer, Rosewater, has arrived. The film is based on the memoir of Iranian journalist Maziar Bahari, Then They Came for Me: A Family's Story of Love, Captivity, and Survival. Gael García Bernal stars as Bahari.

Soon we'll all get a chance to see the film that gave John Oliver his own show. Rosewater opens at the Telluride Film Festival and will screen on September 8th at Toronto International Film Festival, The Hollywood Reporter notes.

The only downside to all this is what if Rosewater does so well that Jon Stewart is all psssshhhh forget TV, I make movies now? I guess we'll find out when Rosewater opens wide on November 7th, which is conveniently just in time for the awards season. Just saying.
