A 7-year-old girl is safe and sound after a man attempted to kidnap her earlier this week in the toy aisle of a Walmart in Georgia. Brittney Baxter was looking at toys when a man started talking to her and then grabbed her, covering her mouth. She kicked him and screamed until he let her go, which you can see on this surveillance footage. Her mother was just a few aisles away and couldn't believe what had happened. Luckily, no one was injured. The creep who did this, Thomas Andrew Woods, was already on probation for the 2004 killing of his uncle and is now in custody. He is being charged with attempted kidnapping. Major props to Brittney for having the presence of mind to protect herself in what must have been a terrifying situation. More »

Walmart Won't Accept $1 Million Bills, Or Other Illegal Tender

A North Carolina man has been arrested for trying to pay for $476 worth of Walmart merchandise with a $1 million bill. Police were called after Michael Fuller insisted that his money was real, despite the fact that the largest bill in circulation is $100 and the government hasn't made even a $10,000 bill since 1969. He was jailed on a $17,500 bond and his attempts to pay in Simoleons and Monopoly money were unsuccessful. More »

Woman Sues Walmart Over Two Cents And Wins

Though many of us aren't willing to bend down to pick up two pennies, Mary Bach of Pennsylvania sued Walmart for charging her two cents more than the price on the tag for a package of Banquet "Brown 'N Serve" sausages. Bach was awarded $180, but her aim wasn't to recoup savings she could have lost between the sofa cushions. She's sued the company five times for similar incidents, and says it's made no effort to correct the advertised prices. Walmart says these were all accidents, but Bach points out that the company is making thousands of dollars by slightly overcharging customers. More »
