Vanessa Bayer Is Leaving Saturday Night Live After 7 Seasons

Tonight’s episode of Saturday Night Live marks the finale of its 42nd season, as well as Vanessa Bayer’s last appearance as a cast member on the show.

Deadline reported on Saturday that after seven seasons, Bayer, the longest-serving current female cast member on the show, will depart, along with Bobby Moynihan, who’s been with the show for nine season. SNL hasn’t yet issued a comment as to why Bayer is leaving the show, Deadline has only reported that her contract expired, and Bayer herself bid farewell to SNL with this Instagram post:
