In this episode, we watched Sookie and Eric get high and have trippy wasted sex after drinking each other's blood. A post-coital conversation—while still probably a little bit high—led to their agreement that they would help Bill and the rest of the vampires fight the witches. Bill, however, was more interested in finding a peaceful solution. Like the Jets and the Sharks (only somehow cheesier, despite the lack of dancing) the witches and vamps met up for a truce, which quickly turned into a battle after Eric, still hopped up on fairy blood, ripped a witch's throat out. Then the lead witch lady, who is supposedly so powerful that she came back from centuries of being dead and is able to make vampires shake in their euro trash boots, cast this big fancy spell…that caused a fog. Big whoop. Still, Eric and Sookie both ended up in peril by the end, which is why some high ideas (high-deas)—like entering into a supernatural war—should be reviewed while sober before they are carried out. Last night's episode of True Blood saw Antonia Gavilán of Logroño declaring, "I am returned." She has taken over Marnie's body, and we have no idea where Marnie's poor soul is — maybe on a nice vacation in some kind of tropical paradise? In any case, four hundred years ago, Antonia was tortured, raped and burned at the stake by vampires. She is still pretty upset about it. And she's now found a kindred spirit in Tara, who was attacked by Pam, then broke up with her girlfriend and cried her eyes out. Misery loves company, and the downtrodden love revenge, and as Antonia told Tara, "we are alike." Antonia drafted Tara to help her destroy all vampires by forming a witchy circle, controlling each vamp and sending them into the sun. Some vamps — Eric, Pam, Bill — managed to bind themselves in silver so they would not die. But at the end of the ep, it certainly looked like poor babyvamp Jessica opened the doors of the mansion and let the sunshine in. Damn. More »

Last night on True Blood, the best scene by far was the one with a double dose of naked supernatural hottie. Sookie enlisted Alcide to help her track down Eric, who'd gotten drunk on fairy blood and was cavorting and frolicking through the forest as the inebriated are wont to do. They found him splashing about in a lake, and he was supposed to be nude, but eagle-eyed pervs could tell he was wearing what's known in the biz as a "sock." Also something the truly observant may have noticed: Sookie is in a shot and Wolf-Form Alcide is in a shot, but it doesn't seem like Anna Paquin and the wolf were actually next to each other. Watch carefully and you'll see that those are probably someone else's legs — like the trainer — near the yellow-eyed creature. More »

In the latest episode of True Blood , Bill sent Eric to investigate the necromancy coven that had brought a dead bird back to life. The coven's leader, Marnie, seems to have a lot of power, but it's becoming quite obvious that Lafayette has more. When he joined hands with the circle, Marnie started speaking in tongues (or Latin?) and Eric looked terrified. He then fled the scene. Later, Sookie found Eric walking the streets, shirtless (hee!) and disoriented. It was like he'd forgotten everything he knew. Blank slate, tabula rasa, reset button.
