Can you handle it? MTV's Total Request Live is, like, totally over! One cannot deny that it's the end of an era — albeit a mediocre era that allowed otherwise uptight stars to get down with the kids in studied expensive jeans-and-tee ensembles and, for New Yorkers, meant a bunch of screaming tourists clogging up 42nd Street for two hours while the Naked Cowboy pranced gamely behind them. Yes, of all the privations of our new reality, the lack of TRL's going to be relatively easy to bear. But for luminaries like Beyonce, Hilary Duff, Taylor Swift, and Vanessa Minnillo (to say nothing of Carson), this finale TRL was BIG and they celebrated by looking awful.
