This Might Be the Worst Ad Placement Ever

You’d think that someone — ANYONE — would have caught this before this issue of the Anchorage Daily News hit the news stands on Sunday, but nope — a sticker advertising tree removal business TBF Services with the catchy slogan “Got Stumps?” really was placed over an article about a triathlete with a prosthetic leg.

When contacted by Jim Romenesko, TBF owner Carl Bramante replied, “Someone wasn’t thinking. I booked that ad a year ago.”

Seems like an honest mistake, but it’s cringeworthy all the same. On a different note, Judy Abraham — the athlete who the Anchorage Daily News article is about — sounds pretty awesome.
