A joke Maher made in February in which she happened to be the punchline. Hasselbeck asked if she could "bring something up" and proceeded recite the joke in question — roughly, that Mubarak had "released" Lara Logan after her rape, and she was sent home in exchange for Elisabeth Hasselbeck — and then said, "You can't sit here right now and tell me I'm wrong for saying that wasn't that funny." Who is Eden Wood's publicist? She keeps landing all these big deal interviews since announcing that she's retiring from beauty pageants at age 6. Today she was on The View, where she and her mother Mickie were grilled about their aspirations for her career. Eden, while cute, doesn't seem to have much to say for herself aside from what she was coached on beforehand (she couldn't even articulate what she wanted to do now that she's "retiring" other than express this vague idea about "superstardom" — which, for a young child, is totally understandable). Her mother Mickie, however, came off a little better as this is the first time we've ever heard a stage/pageant mom talk about saving money for her child's college education. Bristol Palin proved today that she has a bigger set than her mother—who has refused repeated invitations over the years to appear as a guest—by facing the opinionated ladies of The View, who are known to not shy away from the hard questions. While they did press Bristol on some of her comments in the book that have already been talked about in basically every other media outlet—how her virginity was "stolen" not "lost"; her re-dedication to an abstinent life; her harsh words about the McCain women—they mostly went easy on her, spending a great deal of time cooing over the cuteness of her son, compared to some other guests they've reamed. (It would've been better, when they asked her if she had career aspirations, and she answered, "Yeah, I have tons and tons of interests," if they could've discussed her real career, as a reality TV star.) She stayed on for a (seemingly) pilled-up 10-minute segment in which she rambled, stuttered, incited a bitchy comment from Barbara Walters, implied then denied she was raped, and finally, stiffly twirled around to show off her body.
