night’s episode covered Teresa’s husband’s DWI arrest after he totaled at 2 am on January 14. While Juicy Joe gave his version of the events—that he drank after he crashed into four trees—court records reveal much more.

Earlier in the evening, Joe and Teresa went out to dinner with Jacqueline and her husband, as well as Tamra Barney from Real Housewives of Orange County. For some reason, Joe drove home alone, much later, which is when he flipped over the car. He was taken to the hospital, where a blood test was administered, showing that his blood alcohol level was .11. He was charged with a DWI, reckless driving, careless driving, and failure to maintain a traffic lane. The Montville Township Police Department discovered that Joe also had warrants out for his arrest in Clifton, NJ over city ordinance violations, so they handed him over to the Clifton PD, where he was eventually released on $2,625 bail.

Joe was found guilty of all charges related to the accident, and had his license revoked for 12 months, and was ordered to pay $864 in fines and perform 30 days community service. A 30-day jail sentence was suspended, given he completes the the community service. The judge called Joe’s claim of drinking only after the crash ”completely lacked credibility” and that he ”was out and out lying.”

However, Joe is appealing the sentence, and is expected back in court on August 20 (just two days before the contents of the Giudice’s home will be auctioned). But given his driving record, Joe might not stand a chance. His license has been suspended 9.4 years out of the last 20. And at the time of the municipal court hearing, he had 39 points on his license.
