The 'Orphan' Kim Kardashian Tried to Adopt Has Politely Declined

Pink, the Thai girl who Kim Kardashian wanted to adopt on a recent episode of her show, has spoken out about the internet breaker adopting her and whisking her off to a life of glamour and luxury. Her response to the kind offer? She’d like to visit someday, but, uh, she’s not really into commitment right now.

The Daily Mail spoke to Pink (I am speculating, but probably for money because they mention several times about how poor she is) and asked her about life in the Thai orphanage (where she lives because her mother couldn’t afford to take care of her) as well as what she thought of Kim. Surprise: Pink liked her. Which makes sense, right? Kim is probably very personable and smells nice and it’s not every day you get to be on TV. Pink loved being on TV.

Here’s what she said about the experience of meeting Kim, whom she had no idea was any kind of celebrity.

‘When she came here, it seemed as if I was the first one she looked at and smiled at. We had a connection straight away. I think she is really pretty and she has a very nice personality.’

‘I thought she was lovely and I really enjoyed meeting her – and I loved being on TV too,’ said Pink, whose real name is Laddawan Tong-Keaw.’

Yeah, but you had no idea who she was? There goes that adoption right there. You can’t be a Kardashian without bowing down to Kim. Especially after she calls Kanye to see if she can adopt you. Because that’s how these things work, you know? You meet a kid in an orphanage, you call up Kanye, you take the kid home, you sing a few songs about The Depression and NYC and then everyone does a reprise of “Maybe” and the curtain falls. OR you have to go through the proper channels and make sure that you’re making the right decision. Also, according to The Mail, Pink is not available for adoption and her mother, who is at the orphanage on a daily basis was the the entire time Kim was visiting Pink.

Pink’s mom did say she could go live with Kim, but only after she was done with school:

I spoke to my mum about Kim and she said ‘When you finish High School and you can look after yourself, I will give you permission to go and live with Kim if you want to go’,’ said Pink.

But she’s not going to, although she’d love to see Kim again.

‘But the other children here and like brothers and sisters to me and I couldn’t leave them behind. They are my family and I couldn’t just go away and leave them.’

Asked if she would like see Kim again, Pink smiled shyly as she replied: ‘I would like to see her again one day if it’s possible. But not just Kim – I’d like to meet her husband and her daughter as well. I’d like to meet the whole family.’

According to The Mail, Pink knew that Kim wanted to adopt her, but said no even before Kim realized it wasn’t a good idea. Maybe Kim will send money, though? Or go back for a visit? That would be nice! Visit Pink, Kim!
