Dana Washington, the mother of a student at Washington High School in Kansas City, KS, told school officials that she wants John Steinbeck's classic novel, Of Mice And Men, removed from the required reading list of books for schoolchildren. Washington objects to the "violent" and "profuse" use of the n-word in the book. What's next? The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn? To Kill A Mockingbird? Heart of Darkness? The gals were talking about that tape on which Jesse Jackson can be heard uttering the racist insult, even though he was one of the main proponents of banning it. Anyway, Elisabeth Hasselbeck was trying to tell Sherri and Whoopi that they shouldn't be using the word at all, no matter the context, because of children. Then she started crying.
