Dale Decker is housebound. He's afraid to go to the grocery store, to the movies or to pick his sons up from school. He can't work or contribute to household chores. And it's all because he has up to 100 orgasms a day. Decker says that his condition has broken him.
Decker, who lives in Two Rivers, Wisconsin, developed persistent genital arousal syndrome after he slipped a disc while standing up. According to The Daily Mail, he had five orgasms on his way to the hospital. Since then, it's only gotten worse. Now, Decker and his wife, April, are sleeping in separate beds and the condition is putting a strain on their marriage. And since Decker is unable to work, the financial burden of running a household falls completely on April's shoulders. But Decker has a good reason for not wanting to leave the confines of his home.
He [Decker] said: 'Imagine being on your knees at your father's funeral beside his casket - saying goodbye to him and then you have nine orgasms right there.
'While your whole family is standing behind you. It makes you never want to have another orgasm for as long as you live.
'There's nothing pleasurable about it because even though it might feel physically good - you're completely disgusted by what's going on.'
He added: 'If you're in public, if you're in front of kids - it's disgusting and it can break you real fast.
"It makes you never want to have another orgasm for as long as you live," Decker added. "There's nothing pleasurable about it because even though it might feel physically good — you're completely disgusted by what's going on."
That does sound horrible. Having an orgasm (and I am speaking from personal experience here) is one of the most pleasurable things in the world, and to have that not only stripped from you but also make you a prisoner in your own home due to a nerve condition? That's fucked up. What the hell is wrong with bodies, anyway? If there's one strong argument against intelligent design it's the fact that our bodies are constantly betraying us. Who would ever design a system in which a slipped disc could result in priapism and unending orgasms? Nowhere in the original article is ejaculate mentioned, but it doesn't take a leap of logic to assume that this poor guy is also leaking all day long, right?
There is help for people like Decker, according to specialists, but he says that he's been to doctor after doctor who have told him that there's just nothing they can do. The only doctor who seems to have any idea about what to do is Dena Harris, a gynecologist who's worked with people who have Decker's condition.
'Dale looks like he is in pain - not just emotionally but physically as well.
'I've got to be honest, there is help available but if Dale doesn't get help soon then there could be huge risks in the future.
'Suicide is always a concern when people suffer from this condition - they feel like they have no other way to escape it.'
Here's hoping Decker gets the help he needs.
