Terrible Teenage Parents Arrested for Making Their Toddler Smoke Weed

Two strong contenders for “Worst Parent of the Year” emerged on Friday, coming in just under the Jan. 1 deadline by forcing/letting/helping their toddler smoke weed.

According to a brief and dismal report from The Buffalo News, teenage parents Jessica and George Kelsey (17 and 18, respectively) were arrested along with Jessica’s father Don Baker and charged with second-degree reckless endangerment and endangering the welfare of a child after allegedly either helping, observing, or encouraging their two-year-old to “smoke marijuana from a lighted bowl.” The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office investigated the case with the help of the district attorney and child protection department.

All three were arrested and are being held on bond. The toddler and another sibling, meanwhile, are in the care of Child Protective Services, because the holidays just aren’t the holidays without a super-depressing story that makes you appreciate relatives who only scarred you for life by getting you a shitty Christmas sweater one year.
