This might be the most fun Instagram account of all time.
Liam Martin, 17, posts almost dead-perfect, hilarious recreations of photographs of famous women. For the past year, the New Zealand teenager has done photo impersonations of everyone from Rhianna to Kim Kardashian. He now has more than 1.5 million followers on his Instagram page under the name waverider_.
In an interview with Mashable, Martin said his favorite celebs to mimic are Miley Cyrus and Ariana Grande.
"It is a really awesome feeling to have so many people support what I do," Martin tells Mashable. "I have learned a lot. I have learned how to deal with criticism and a lot about myself."
Martin's cosplay game is incredibly on-point, creating elaborate costumes, wigs and props from materials he finds at the "$2 shop." He says his longest photo shoot took three hours, trying to assemble and achieve Katy Perry's "Dark House" look.
He's also done characters from film such as The Little Mermaid.
Martin also told Mashable since his account has grown more popular, he's attracted a lot of vicious trolls, because of course jerks like to pick on people who are having fun and getting popular doing so. To respond, he created a YouTube video about online bullies. "Cyberbullying is pointless [and] stupid." Despite the recent barrage of trolls (sorry dude; we've all been there), it hasn't impacted him or his desire to continue his Instagram project.
"One negative comment shouldn't affect how you feel about yourself," he said.
