Taylor Swift Tells Tabloid Why 'We Need Feminism in 2015'

Latest

In between making hit songs, the rumored feuds with fellow pop stars and gallivanting with her army of best friends, Taylor Swift somehow makes the time to show love to her fans. She sends them care packages, has donated money to a heroic firefighter and most recently, helped one couple with their pregnancy announcement. OK! magazine used Swift’s kind gesture to plant some clickbait and in response, the singer tweeted a call for feminism.

According to Us Weekly, the UK celebrity tabloid has since deleted their tweet, which insinuated that Swift was announcing a pregnancy of her own and referred to her as “Harry Styles’s ex-girlfriend.” Swift responded with a photo of a killer whale meme with the text, “I came out of the ocean because I needed to stop you.” She tweeted, “@OK_Magazine this misleading headline and your choice of words in labeling me are why we need feminism in 2015.”

Swift also sent a card to the couple and what appears to be a Polaroid of a congratulatory cupcake.
