    Don't forget the 20's. Steichen and Baron Adolfe de Meyer invented commercial photography. Still some of the best. Not at "Life" though.

    Actually, I think Katie only kinda *wishes* she could wear that, and that's it's something of an insult to the "new fashion at the Country Club" to suggest that Katie Holme's silly outfit even resembles it.

    My favorite is the one from '29 with the hound- totally have family pictures like that from that era. My grandmother's aunt was the cook at a very prominent estate in Massachusetts during the 20s, so we have books filled with very glamorous pictures.


    I also did my high school thesis on feminism and 1920s clothing.
