As a jezzie who attended the University of Pittsburgh, I am openly imploring my alma mater to make sure that money goes to the people who need it: victims and their families.
(Also, while I'm asking Pitt for favors, forgive my student loans. Kthxbai).
Bizarre. No way is the school getting it, though, as the article points out. He left three women dead and nine injured - someone's going to sue his estate. And it'll be an easy case.
@morninggloria: Better yet: open the George Sondini Center for Women, which would provide women in the community with need counseling, job placement services, and shelter for abused women and their children.
Jon and Kate seem like incredibly selfish people. I suppose there isn't a chance the announcement will be that they're quitting the show to work on themselves?
"Let's start with the toilet paper roll Michael, then we'll start adding weight, maybe a roll of paper towels. Then we'll get you burning up a real sweat."
@lestylegirl: Speaking as the child of divorced parents, it's often better to have two people who no longer wish to be married to each other (and in some cases, who actively dislike each other) to be apart. Children are acutely aware of that kind of tensions. Still, it is upsetting for the kids, to be sure.
@BabyJane: I agree, I'm also a child of divorced parents, and I thought it was ok they did it (I was 8 at that time) cause at least I knew where their relationship stood. I don't know sometimes uncertainty and bickering is worse than actual honesty and a clean break.
Btw, my parents had the most amicable divorce ever, so I'm speaking from that experience.
@Ailatan Hearts BabyJane: I was ten. Both my mum and dad remarried and, honestly, had happier second marriages than when they were married to each other. My brother and I were very fortunate that they always put us first and, no matter how they felt about each other. Neither one ever said a bad word to us about the other.
@BabyJane: I want the preview and the little hearts for the followers, I like to heart people that follow me.
Neither one of my parents married for the second time, now that I'm much older I wish they had. I'm an only child so there is basically no one but me to spoil.
I believe that a break up is always difficult, but there has to be at least some level of respect and caring (if not love, at least for your past relationship) to try and say good things about your ex partner.
I hope it involves a savings account for all the therapy the kids are gonna need after growing in that kind of spotlight. It's not like their parents behavior makes things any better.
"Who hasn't made a mistake while they were in their 20s? Everyone had!"
Who hasn't been arrested on suspicions of kidnapping? Who didn't have a boyfriend that had a 30 room mansion? Who hasn't returned to that mansion to find the FBI (and maybe a huge party with cocaine and orgies but just retreated peacefully to their room)? Who hasn't inspired an ex-cop to write themselves into a book about crime?
Lindsay Price says boyfriend Josh Radnor's best qualities are that, "He's very thoughtful, and he's very good at giving gifts," adding, "He's the light in the dark space."
I have never heard of these people, but I kinda like the idea of slipping in gossip items about non-celebrities.
@CrazyLegsMeg: hahaha, that would great, like "Katherine Belardi was seen having a romantic candle lit dinner with David Jackson Moore, friends say the pair are 'getting serious' and are reportedly 'crazy about each other.'"
So we know networks pull "bait and switches" with their advertising all the time, because it leads to publicity before and after the special. IE: "They have a special announcement! I bet they're getting divorced!" [episode airs] "I can't believe they're not getting divorced! We, in the media, cannot stop talking about it!" So in that vein, what do you think the announcement REALLY is?
-They're adding a sister-wife. -One of the children is adopted. We won't tell you which one. -Kate IS pregnant again, but they're getting an abortion this time. On camera. -They have decided to give up material possessions, move to Wyoming and live like wolves. This may mean eating their young, they're not really sure yet.
@RisaPlata: You forgot the old long-running sitcom standby, add a younger kid to the established family in an attempt to breath life into a dying show. It never works in the way intended, but it is a key plot device meant to indicate to anyone still watching, who may have been wondering if the show had jumped the shark yet, would then be certain of it.
Y'know, I think Pattinson seems like a nice kid - I think his take on the Twilight books is just hilarious, and he doesn't seem to actively be a jerk to anyone. He slouches around, with some calculated insouciance probably, and thinks that Stephenie Meyer and her fans are sort of nutters. I'm okay with R-pattz. No, he doesn't make my panties melt off, but he seems like the kinda guy I'd have a beer with.
That said: HEY, RABID FANS, YOU GUYS, HE IS NOT EDWARD. Nor is he Cedric. He's just an actor. He's not going to have OMG VAMPIRE BABIES with Kristen Stewart for your amusement, and he's not going to turn into a sparkly undead if you manage to get him hit by a car. Dear god.
@tscheese: Shit, if I were in his position I would develop so many social phobias. I would probably still be shivering in terror, locked in a dark room ten years after the furor died down. *Shudders*
@tscheese: Actors don't live the way they do in movies? Are you saying that Leonard Nemoy isn't a Vulcan? Sarah Michelle Gellar not a vampire slayer? Donald Trump not a financial expert?
