    I'll admit to not really following this, but if these people are being attacked for perpetrating a hoax, why isn't the news media being prosecuted for doing the same thing?

    Shark attacks, missing white girl syndrome, the pervasive belief (despite FBI documents proving the contrary) that violent crime is on the rise, every "blank" epidemic they try to terrorize the public with, etc? #balloonboywifeswap

    I think its worth mentioning that the swap between the Silver family and the Heene family was engineered because they were two of the more "memorable" - i.e. most camera whoring - families on the show to date. There is probably a reason why everyone is hearing from Sheree and not the family that swapped with the Heene's the first time around.

    That said, I hate myself for occasionally watching Wife Swap. #balloonboywifeswap

    I hate feeling like we are being the worst kind of enablers right now. He endangered the welfare of his children (emotionally if not physically) and wasted lots of taxpayer money because he wanted to be famous. And now we're digging up everyone he's ever known and asking them to come on TV and talk about him. I don't mind coverage regarding the legal actions being taken against the family, but talking about him as a person is just feeding his illness, IMO. #balloonboywifeswap
