And to comment about the type of person her dad is (because he seems like the same type as my own) his whole reason to contact her was not because he wanted to see her, but because he wanted attention, and wanted people to feel sorry for him. Turning himself into the victim, he's like, you're the one who is wrong for not talking to me.
After this episode, I freaked out a little bit when my brother's name showed up on my caller ID this morning, since he has the same name as my dad. Its like, after years of being removed from the trauma all it takes is one more invasion of privacy to bring it all back.
I wish there were ways to get restraining orders for this type of behavior, even if it isn't threatening. It's just evil, manipulative, and fucked up. But I don't think you can you claim harassment if they just send you letters and stuff with the same bullshit crap about forgiveness? Because I've had problems with that lately.
The worst part about it is, I have a distrust for fathers in general, because I can't imagine ever having that relationship. And seeing others with this same situation does not help.

At 30, watching all of these people obsess about their non-issues and stupid house/roommate drama just isn't interesting at all.
From the previews, this incident looked genuinely like a real problem but somehow I am just not interested in seeing that kind of thing on tv anymore...maybe its because I've BEEN in my early 20s already?

Though the "I'm glad we're closer" was weird.

I think they might have one hell of a strong relationship. :)
"You are strong.
I am strong."
You betcha!

Oh my god I noticed that too!!! I thought I was just crazy.
But when someone is pouring their hear out to you you can put down the eyeliner for two fucking seconds.

As someone who has been through a similar situation, it's common for a victim to share...how do I put this...the "smaller" stuff first. Only when you really trust a person can you reveal everything, if at all, really. There are things I still feel too uncomfortable to talk about, even though a part of me wants to life that weight off my shoulders. I see a lot of those feelings in this clip alone.
I feel for her. :/
MTV is shitty. Has been for a long time.

Well, at least he's one less (likely to get prostate cancer)...

I'm sure they knew she had no contact with him for 8 years, though I'm willing to believe they might not have know exactly why.
