I love watching Whatever, Martha! because I'm now convinced MS went through her archives and had many WTF moments with regards to the guests she would bring onto the show. To wit: on a recent episode they watch a segment with a guy who--no lie--collects twine. Another guest showed us all how to properly wash dishes, and another made handbags out of expensive cigar boxes--it boggles the mind how random these people are!
But she can't just make fun of them herself--it would clash with the personality she's created--so who better to do it for you than your famously caustic daughter?

Yeah, it seems to me that Martha is letting Alexis make fun of her just to show her that she's worthy of her daughters attention. I dunno. I am sure she was put through the ringer when she was a child - can you imagine having MARTHA STEWART as your mother? But still. Creating an entire series devoted to the ripping of your mothers arsehole while she pays for the production seems really...mean.

Her show is actually titled "Whatever, Martha"? Isn't that the exact same thing as "God, Mom, you are SO stupid!!!" Why couldn't she just call it that? Oh, nevermind, I know. Because adding the necessary *eyeroll* part would make it too long and then no one would watch it. Silly me.
Srsly? I get that not everyone gets to have a wonderful mom. But this lady needs to get over it and grow the hell up. Imagine! If this was your own grown-ass daughter, wouldn't you just want to slap the bejesus out of her and tell her to stop fucking pouting already?

@..now it's just Aesop's Foibles.: Maaaaan, like I give a shit. Imagining the kind of majestically damaged parent-child relationship that results in the creation of a show like this is like 70% of what makes it enjoyable
