    I am hooked on dog shows. Perhaps it's because I am not allowed to have a pooch in the apartment. I do feel badly for them getting poked and judged on their looks. I am dying for some sort of doggie mishap one of these days. He went after her like she was made of ham!

    @OldEnough2BYourMama: Use and autofocus camera. Pick a place to pose her so that you have natural light. Frame the area where you are posing her, but do not put the camera up to your face to take the pic. I guarantee it works. When you have a camera in front of your face a lot of dogs get freaked out. She is turning her head to "submit" to you because she thinks the thing in front of her face is "yelling" at her.

    My first dog was a great dane. As in, he was there before I was. He babysat me outside while my dad mowed the lawn. He also put his arm around people when we had guests. Virgil was theee best. Dumb as hell, but awesome.
