I sincerely hope the parents get to deliver their statement. As someone posted above, it's mostly cathartic, but they deserve that at least. And I really think, being in a courtroom, not being able to hide behind a PR guy or her 'victim' persona might just be the best punishment. To face the parents of the child you murdered in a court of law.

I understand the rage we all feel against this cyberbully, but; Parents giving testimony at a trial is probably catharsis for them. But I'd rather see their statements entered into public record and used to help prosecutors and judges in the future help create laws and precedent to prevent things like this from happening again.

I'm not a violent person, but I think if I saw this woman on the street I would want to throw something at her or spit on her. This isn't a simple 'Oh she made one mistake and is sorry for it' sort of thing. She antagonized a child into killing herself. How could anyone live with themselves after such a thing?

@IBleedGlitter: I live about fifteen minutes from Dardenne Prairie so this story is on the news whenever anything happens.

She is one of the most hated people in St. Louis and I doubt she could walk on the street here and not get spat upon.

At the very least, her business failed and shut down, she had to sell her house at a loss after people drove by and threw things at it, she had to put her own daughter through this nightmare where everyone turned against her as well, and her husband had to go into hiding with her.

Still she had the nerve to hire an asshole "public relations" lawyer to be her mouthpiece on the news.

I'd call her an asshole but then that would be an insult to self-respecting assholes everywhere.

I truly don't understand why this woman hasn't killed herself yet. Not that she should, but if everyone in the entire USA hated me for something like that, I don't think I could keep going.

I'm not sure, if I were Megan Meier's mother, I'd be able to be in the same room as Lori Drew and not want to punch her, then turn to the judge and say, "That's my statement, your honor."
