    My mom gave me this book for Christmas so I just started reading it. We'll see...


    I love orange kitties. I love all kitties. I volunteer at a cat shelter and we just got the sweetest tuxedo cat and she is nine. No one wants to adopt cats that old but I wish I could take her. Damn my stupid roommate and her dog.

    UGH, I just finished reading "Dewey" on Sunday night. The book is just ok in general, but I was bawling like a baby during the first and last chapters.


    I don't know how I'd feel about getting another cat that looks exactly the same. It would make me too sad. Did anyone see This American Life (Season 1 on Showtime) with the cloned bull? It looked the same, but it (obvs) never acted the same, but the owners wouldn't give up hope that it would still end up being the same (even after it ripped a hole in the guy's testicle).

    @sarah.of.a.lesser.god (and the ovumlord of the rings): I adobed a little boy recently, and considered Harley, Romeow, and Catsanova (he's a little FLIRT). Harley won, 'cause he purrs like a Harley whenever I pick him up. His middle name is Dude (he's a totally laid-back California cat).

    I'm on condensed view, so I just saw Spencer, Iowa and went DEWEY.


    I just read the book on the plane last week on the way to Chicago, which was a mistake as I have an aging orange cat with similar health issues to Dewey. Thankfully it wasn't a full flight and I was able to hide my sappy tears by ducking my head.

    Awww. I just adopted a kitty yesterday from Animal Haven in SoHo. If any NYC Jezebels are looking to adopt a cat, they're having an end of year special- all cats are $25.
