i especially hate all their lingerie that's made of that "seamless" glorified foam. the panties make your crotch smell horrific. and their bra engineers need to understand that if i'm a 34DD, i'm gonna need a tiddly bit more material in the middle of the cup (yes even a pushup!) to keep my tits from falling out of the bra every time i bend over.

This is why I wear old lady bras. Seriously guys, when they talk about fancy scientific bra engineering, they are not talking about 20 dollar Pink! brassieres covered in butterflys and sequins, nor 80 dollar bras made of french lace - they're talking about the big, old-fashioned lingerie companies - the kinds you can get in big department stores from companys like Warner's and Wonderbra. The kinds that come in hot fun colours like... ummm... Nude. And White.

They may not be pretty but they sure are functional, long lasting and economical.

And I'm pretty sure that whole: you're wearing the wrong bra size! Thing is mostly a scare/marketing tactic. Bra size changes very easily due to weight fluctuations and hormones. It's not a big deal.

And don't hate on the silk and french lace! Beautifully crafted bras are fashion (not Victoria's Secrets ones)...some women love shoes and some love designer clothes and I love mid-range British and French lingerie , Chantelle, Freya and Princess Tam Tam...and I definitly wear them for me not the man.

@Cuntlovin: Right there with you - I wear Chantelle and Freya because, a) they make bras in my size that fit me, and b) they make me feel completely fabulous. I'd take a gorgeous new lingerie set over a new pair of shoes any day.

I also want to sue VS for making me think my ass was 3 feet wide when I bought a pair of PINK undies a couple of months ago.

@KathrynwithaY loves Joan Collins: My local VS only puts out smalls, so if you're a medium or large you have to dig through the drawers. Which is like screaming "I'm too fat for the sizes that aren't embarrassing!" Good marketing move.

I just buy my bras from Marshalls for like 6 bucks apiece. I have one VS bra, it makes my boobs look gross- I wear it with a backup, but it has lasted me 5 or so years since I bought it, and it is comfortable.No formeldahyde rashes for me!

Okay, their bras are insanely expensive and the elastic wears out like crazy. I endured their mean, mean salespeople to buy and wear their crappy bras for years and years before I discovered the bras at Target. I have a $12 xhilaration soft cup bra now that's the most comfortable, long-lasting bra I've ever owned. And it even looks good!

This is probably connected to that flip-flop burns thing that was on Consumerist last year. I wouldn't be surprised if it were the same chemical, same kind of reaction. I suspect that after a long string of finger-pointing, this will go absolutely nowhere. Because nobody gives a shit as long as we keep buying whatever stores put out there for us.

I refuse to buy any more of their lingerie--it's of no better quality than stuff I could get at Target for half the price, and they charge a ridiculous amount for such crappy merchandise. For my everyday needs, Target does the job. If I'm going to go spend a buttload on lingerie, I'd rather do it up right (La Perla).

Vicky's Secret is all advertising fluff.

@Vivi21: Agreed. I have professed my love for Cosabella thongs again and again on this site. Sure, they're $15 a pop, but I have some are 5+ years old - I continue to throw them in the washer AND dryer and they old up. Totally worth it.

@bluebears: I'm a 34D as well, and I have these great bras from Target that not only make my bubbehs look good, but also minimize my bust somewhat. I mean, it's impossible for my rack to ever look small, but the Vicky's Secret bras I have (and no longer ever wear) make them look ridiculously huge.

@bluebears: It used to be IMPOSSIBLE to find unpadded bras there in an A, and then they came out with that line of Pink bras (aimed at like, preteens) and they have these AMAZING unpadded bras with a convertible racerback (which I love, because I wear a lot of racerback tank tops). They fit me SO well. But now I'm a 36A and they don't come in that band size/cup size combination. So I'm really upset about it.
