As you probably know, Versace designed a collection for H&M which goes on sale later this week. Now, one might assume that this commercial gesture might mean that Versace is fine with, or at least resigned to, the reality that non-millionaires will soon be wearing clothing that at some point in the designing process…

The fashion world is pretty much jizzing itself over the new Versace for H&M collaboration. The clothes will be in stores November 19th, but last night, celebrities and fashion folk took over Pier 57 on the Hudson river for an exclusive runway show. If there was one thing that stood out on the Golden Globes red carpet — well, one thing besides Helena Bonham Carter's purposefully mismatched shoes — it was the number of actors who selected dresses to fulfill their contractual obligations.

• Ann Taylor replaced Heidi Klum with Katie Holmes for the spring season. The brand says it sought Holmes, who's also modeled for J. Crew and been the face of Miu Miu, for "her intellect, kindness and enduring personal style." [WWD]

• Designer (and husband of Barneys creative director/fashion sage Simon Doonan) Jonathan Adler is selling a needlepoint pillow emblazoned with the pro-ana proverb "Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels." Which, as Adler should know, is pretty much anorexia's catchphrase. [Racked]
