i dont know why i think this picture is so funny. i think it's because i can only really think of him as Bill, and Bill seems like he's concentrating really hard on figuring out the process of how to work a parking meter.
@LAmonkeygirl: Well played LAmonkeygirl. That made me laugh out loud at my desk.
Pahkin' meetah, wha do you keep disobeyin meh? I contruhl you because I luhv you.
I agree that this was a weak episode. The only things that really redeemed it for me were the Hoyt/Jessica plotline and the Pam/Eric interactions. I was very disappointed that Lafayette was not made into a vampire, I thought the orgy scene was pretty lame and while I was initially intrigued with Maryann (I think it's because I dig her Greek goddess vibe and clothes) I am starting to get annoyed.
Finally, I am surely not the only one who hates how, whenever a show gets super successful, the programmers try to capitalize on it by dragging the season out with all sorts of recap episodes and replays. *cough*LOST*cough* Why oh why must they torment us? Just play the damn show!
I actually thought this episode was the weakest. I skipped through a lot of The FotS and the Tara/Maryanne scenes. Daphne annoys me to no end - you are complaining about the boss who didn't fire you after a disastrous first day & being short. and maybe cozying up to said boss isnt such a good idea when you have some serious markings on your back.
Was anyone else mad that Maryann's party was full of lovely tits but the one guy they got to walk naked across the screen was the opposite of a hard body like Eggs.
How old is Hoyt supposed to be? Because there is a part of me that is all NONONO, she is 17 you creepy perv-jerk DO NOT TAKE ADVANTAGE. But they are cute together... Still. I'm a huge fan of Jessica so far.
@Academy Queen: I think that when a vampire gives his blood to a human they are bound or something. In the beginning he said that since Sookie drank his blood, he will be so sensitive to her that he can "feel" when she's in trouble. So, maybe he didn't want that intimacy and relationship with Lafayette...especially since it didn't seem life or death. Also, I thought Eric was giving him a side-eye about it.
Full disclosure: I HATE HATE HATE this show, but I watch it because otherwise I wouldn't spend any time with the Mr.
That said, I thought this episode was the best of them all. But, how come no one seemed concerned that Law-Fi-Et had been gone for 2 weeks? Did no one care enough to even put a missing persons report out on him? And what was that thing that scratched Sookie? That creeped me out! And what is up with Tara's accent? I live in LA 5 years and never heard anything that annoying in my life!
@hausfrau76: I happen to LOVE this show more than every other show except for So You Think You Can Dance. However, I too used to live in LA, and Tara's accent is so fucking stupid it makes me mad. But, since I've been watching this show since it's inception, I think I've just learned to ignore it because it's so ridiculous.
Though seriously...it's a VERY good show...save Tara's dumbass fake accent.
@cassis is a cereal girl: That's like asking what's with Pam's sweater sets? Vampires wanna be comfortable too, I guess. I have always had a thing for the vampires who LIKE BEING VAMPIRES. No moping about their lost humanity, just "Damn, it feels good to be a vampire."
@IrockIroll: i thought karl might be the pig too! mostly because they haven't been shown in the same scenes together, other than that i've got nothing.
at first i thought tara was hallucinating the whole ordeal at mary ann's house since eggs is DREAAAAMYYYYY and perfect for tara, the impossible amounts of food and flowers, etc... but now i just don't get what's going on. why would mary ann have targeted tara the night she was drunk driving? was it really just to get closer to sam, or is there something that she wants from tara?
@clarafier: I think it was at least initially to get at Sam, but the seen with Tara and Eggs, when Karl brings the towels and Maryann slaps him to the floor, makes me think its something much more now.
Con- Sookie storming into the forest and attempting to walk home, at night! 20 miles from home! Yeah, I'm sure nothing bad will happen. Cue Bull man…..
Con- Sookie slapping Eric. Really? So because Bill puts up with her tantrums and shit she thinks other vamps should. Eric is a vampire and a sheriff, if it were anyone else you know they wouldn't have lived to tell the tale. And did she even thank Eric for saving her? If he hadn't called his doctor, she'd pretty much be goner.
Pro- Jason realizing that the Fellowship's ministry is BS and storming out Con- Steve and Sarah(well mostly Sarah) pulling him back in
Pro- Eric-"And Pam I did love those pumps"
Pro- Eric-"It's always a pleasure doing business with you" Dr Ludwig- F*ck off! (hahaha)
Pro-Lafayette is free Con-Lafayette can't afford to go to the hospital/breaking down when he gets home.
Pro-Eric-"Perhaps I will grow on you'..hint, hint
Pro-Jessica and Hoyt. Particularly her being embarrassed about her fangs and Hoyt not being repulsed. Awwww, baby vamps need love too...and yeah that throbbing vein bit was hilarious!
Pro- Tara finally realizing that Maryann is more than just shady and possibly getting the hell out of her place next episode
Con- Daphne possibly Maryann's minion messing with Sam in future episodes. Will the poor guy catch a break soon?
Con- The next episode is 2 weeks ago. WTF? They've only shown 3 episodes, what's up with taking a break.
@Eric Northman is mine: Also, while I find Sookie and Bill's rocky relationship to be a little tiresome, I thought the whole conversation around petticoats was an adorable pro.
I am evidently in the minority as someone who likes Bill very much. He just seems very sweet. However, I agree that Sookie is annoying beyond belief. Whatever goodwill her character earned by driving that shovel into Rene's neck has already been squandered.
