    What Chris did was horrible and he deserves all the scrutiny the public gives him. However, where were these ladies when Josh Brolin beat the hell out of Diane Lane? It's odd that a 19 yr gets all this rage and hatred thrown at him while Josh Brolin's gotten nothing but praise. Can someone tell me why?

    @Jackiewsu: No, I save a little piece of my expansive rage for Josh Brolin. Another for Sean Penn. And quite a bit for people I've actually met. Or dated. But there's plenty to go around if there's anyone else you feel should be included.

    You know, if somebody just jumped up and punched Chris Brown's lights out and that was the end of it, I'd be full of schadenfreude and happy he got what was coming to him. But menacing and threatening people is never OK.

    @I'm Chuck Bass: I'm not sure that's quite a fair correlation. For one thing, Chris Brown did, in fact, physically abuse Rihanna, whereas Dr. Tiller's shooting was entirely unprovoked. Also, so far these threats have remained only that: threats.


    I even agree with you to the extent that I don't think we should make light of any serious threats of violence, but I'm just not sure that's a fair comparison.

    @PilgrimSoul: It's also kind of terrifying! I remember reading it avidly during the height of my obsession with Warhol a few years ago, and finding it hard to read, repetetive, confusing, but also totally fascinating.

For fucks sake, of all the creeps back then-George Wallace, for example - and she goes and picks on Andy? I have my issues with his treatment of women, gays, his slurping up to the rich, but, fuckadoodle dooo....the guy didn't deserve a bunch of bullets. I don't diss the existence of Mary Harren's movie, and I think the SCUM manifesto is interesting as a part of feminist history...but in the end, a nice polish american boy who loved his mom got a gut full of lead, and for nothing.

    @SarahHeartburn: That said, I Shot Andy Warhol is one of my favorite movies. Because it's an incredible document of the times, especially the week of RFK's assassination and the days leading up to it all.
