Did Megan just reduce women to their body part? Yes, she did. She did not say men are intimidated by strong women. She has also said women can control men with their vaginas.
And I hate when I hear people call her "edgy" and then say "she says things most women don't have the balls to say" Really? Can you give me some quotes?
Is Megan smart? I'm sure she is, I think she is just not sure how to market herself. On one side she wants to be the sexy thundercat one the flip side she wants people to take her seriously. Women have had this struggle for centuries. So let's not act like she's changing the game up, she's playing the game by the same old Hollywood rules, posing for Mens magazines and talking about sex.
However, their have been other (young) actress who have been able to do it successfully without reducing THEMSELVES to their body parts.

Guys desperately crave female approval, and don't even bother to hide this. The day I see a shaving ad without a woman giving the 'I approve of you' sexyface is the day I realize I know nothing. Moreover, men crave approval of sexual performance. This does lead to anxiety of the ol' lady-bits.
Or, just in a general sense, the power of a straight woman's sexuality is terrifying for many men. I personally have to excuse myself from company to gather my thoughts when an attractive woman is around. It turns my brain to mush, I can't focus at all. I am basically terrified. I'm not being facetious, I genuinely struggle, as do a slight majority of my guy friends.
So I see where she's coming from, and as someone who is so lusted after, I can see why her experiences have led her to believe this. (Edit, I just realize this reads like I'm the one lusted after. Leaving it in as it made my split my sides. I'm talking about her, obviously.)

While acting isn't "hard" the way being a surgeon is, it's not necessarily easy, either. And the spotlight angle can get weird really quick.
I mean, I think she's been acting since she was a kid. She probably doesn't know anything else. I think we all have that, once we pick a career. I mean, I know I wouldn't be able to just up and do something completely different that I wasn't trained in after nearly a decade in my field.

What I mostly see her object to is the fame and attitudes around Hollywood, not the act of acting.
I mean, at this point, this girl can't suddenly decide she wants to be like...a dentist. She's too famous. Once you get caught up in that, you have to ride it out as best you can. Plus, she seems to get asked things a lot that, depending on your experiences, will sound more negative than they are.
