I have a Filipino aunt, who is beside herself everytime a typhoon hits, for good reason. The tightknit nature of Filipino families is inspiring. But I am truly glad that my aunt and uncle live in Sydney now, my cousin would be about the same age as that little girl, and I would hate for her to have to live through something as terrifying as a typhoon. #typhoonmirinae

@Cesybabe or Nirvanah Crane: I lived in a city in California with a very large Filipino population, and so many people that I knew there were so quick to treat me as part of their family. It's something I haven't experienced anywhere else from any other group of people. #typhoonmirinae
