    I really LOVED the car they had Edward drive in the first movie. It was hot. But a vampire in a crossover? Volvo must have dished out some serious cash for that product placement. #twilightvolvo

    @MushyHeirloom: I like that P1800ES. Looks like something I would drive. Then again, I usually prefer the older Volvo's to the new ones. My mother-in-law has a C70, but for the price tag it just doesn't seem worth it. #twilightvolvo

    Oh? You want a spooky Volvo? Hard to beat an indestructible 20-year-old 240 sedan with considerable ground clearance and faded paint, especially compared to that god-awful crossover-thing.

    Of course, I'm doubly biased - not only do I believe that real Volvos are shaped like roll-off dumpsters, I also have a complete hatred of Twilight. Die already, vile franchise. Die! DIEDIEDIEDIEDIE!

    Whew. Now I feel a bit better. #twilightvolvo

    @MushyHeirloom: honestly, if you're a vampire, a car that can't be killed (like a 240) is a more fitting choice than a car designed to sacrifice itself to save you (like a modern Volvo). i mean, unless you have a stake sticking out of the steering wheel, a car crash isn't going to kill you anyway.

    i've just put way too much thought into Twilight. #twilightvolvo

    @smokyburnout: A true statement. Something like a /6-powered Dart/Valiant or a 22R Toyota truck would be good, too - but the former are fairly uncommon and the latter too rust-prone. #twilightvolvo

    @MushyHeirloom: I may have seen Twilight (against my will), and it's not so much epically bad as it's boring. I mean, it's still a terrible movie, but very forgettable. Which leads me into - unkillable, sparkly, and boring could either describe Edward Cullen, or a silver Toyota Camry (plus, as Scion's proved, Toyota would appreciate the youth following). #twilightvolvo

    @RosiMac and @Elizabooth: I've still got my first, a Dodger-blue '89 named Violet. She gets driven aggressively on occasion, maintained fairly well, and doesn't miss a beat, returning 25 MPG if I don't drive like an idiot. I couldn't have asked for a better first car. #twilightvolvo

    This isn't just for tweens. I am old enough to buy a car AND love Twilight.

    There is a reasonable tie-in. Edward drives a gray Volvo sedan in all four books. :P

    Bella drove an old Chevy truck which is later replaces with a Mercedes Guardian.... Alice drives a Porsche...

    And I am obviously not cool enough because none of the characters drove a Honda Civic like me. #twilightvolvo

    @staryberry: I drive a Volvo, but it's older than I am (also older than Bella) and it's not sparkly at all. Well, except for the chrome. Now I want rid of that, too. It's hip to be square, as they don't really say. #twilightvolvo

    I cannot lie, though: in season 2 or 3 of Buffy, the WB had a contest to win a Buffy VW beetle airbrushed with purple swoops, the Buffy logo, and Sarah Michelle Gellar looking moody. I wanted it terribly and now cannot even find a picture of it. Alas. #twilightvolvo
