    Her favorite book this year is about Frances Perkins, "The Woman Behind the New Deal." Sounds awesome.

    I'm noticing a lot of...wrong moments...in the comment section. Particularly, body-snarking in one of the SJP posts and over the last weekend, a whole slew of body measurement talk in the post Jenna did about "curvy" models. Not to feel like a tattletale, but I thought this was being monitored and all.

    Washington state Sen. Majority Leader Lisa Brown, D-Spokane, discusses the bill:

    "....it's important to note that the pending Senate measure does not harm Washington women's existing right to choose. Washington is not one of the 17 states that prohibit insurance companies from covering abortion care in either public or private employee health plans--those that may "opt out" of subsidized coverage of plans that include abortion under Nelson's language. We are a strong choice state and will remain a strong choice state, whether health care reform passes or not."

    Hi, there's a segment on tonight's ABC's Nightline (12/22/09) called "Pink Stinks." It's about how everything marketed to young girls are pink and the website called Pink Stinks that says that saturating young girls with pink stifles creative thinking and make them focus too much on physical beauty.

    The key witness in the Richmond gang rape case has been missing for a couple weeks. He mentioned before that in Richmond, snitching is "something you don't do." Some of his family members believe that he was targeted by some of the suspects for doing so. :( [abclocal.go.com]
