    Also, he makes me feel a bit of sympathy for Irina -- her tenacity begins to seem a bit like desperation-for-parental-approval, and that is some rough shit to go through. #timgunn

    @BeckySharper: haha. My mom just asked if I requested any fashion advice from him and I sniffed "I don't need any!" Hee. I did tell him that everyone was SO PSYCHED when I told them that I was going to interview him and he seemed genuinely touched. He is a class act. #timgunn

    @largirl: it was over the phone, if that makes it better (but I still wore a classic tailored blazer in honor of him). At the risk of revealing my lack of journalistic reserve, I was worried about being a secret bastard but my fears were unfounded. It's just nice when one of the good guys makes good. #timgunn

    I love when Tim loosens up and talks frankly about the designers. Like when Victoria made him re-count the cash for a mood visit in front of her. He maintains a buttoned up, perpetually calm exterior, but he has a normal range of emotions. I would have bitchslapped a few of the designers by now. He's their mentor, not yoda. It's a little adorable when he gets in a 'kids these days' kind of mood. #timgunn

    season 6 was so awful i can't even recall who most of the "designers" he mentions were. ra'mon? mitchell? it's like waking from a nightmare and vaguely recalling there was some abstract monster lurking in a door while you were dream running away and down a hall. #timgunn

    Sorry if this had been brought up already, but Irina's all black equestrian-styled collection (where does the Coney Island influence fit in?) reminds me of Madonna's "Confessions" tour costumes. Not accusing her of copying and it's not exact, but the styling (if not the designs alone) really makes it look too reminiscent for me to ignore. Also, imho but there's a fine line between cohesive and repetitious. Nice construction, tho.

    Tim Gunn in an apron was the highlight of the episode. I actually squealed, then told my roommate I want Tim to come over for dinner. He's just so delightful.

    The rest? Ugh. Not even the return of Nina and Top American Designer Michael Kors could save it. I fell asleep watching it--a Project Runway first for me. #projectrunwayseason6

    I need to make a confession, I didn't actually bother to watch this episode. I might watch a rerun later this week because I tend to enjoy the episodes where Tim makes his visits, but at this point I honestly could care less who actually wins this thing. I'm not even sure I'll watch next season at this rate. #projectrunwayseason6
