    She was signing books in a bookstore here in Orlando yesterday, and apparently tons of people came out to see her, waited in line for hours and hours, got wristbands, and so on. Some of them were interviewed on the local news and were saying how it was an honor to meet her, how intelligent she was, and so on.

    What are these people smoking?

    @Vivien Smith-Smythe-Smith: I have never liked Rachel Ray's persona on her show 30 Minute Meals. (See my comments on Jezebel's first post that mentioned this Martha / RR exchange as an example.) But I am really impressed with the way she handled that, too. I wish I'd watched that before my earlier comments.
