    It always seemed to me that Kendra and Hef never really had a relationship. Holly and Hef, yes, but for Kendra it seemed to be more of a job, being a Girlfriend and doing Playboy promotions and things. I know she said in an interview that she was dating while she was at the Mansion--I believe she had already been dating Hank for a while when she left.

    @vanka-vstanka: Exactly - it wasn't Kendra who broke Hef's heart, but Holly. I actually sort of appreciated Kendra's perspective on that whole thing, and that she used her time in the mansion as an opportunity.

    This is obviously the kind of star-worthy comment that often wins COTD, but: You just made me shoot Kung Pao chicken out my nose.

    On The Girls Next Door (yeah, seen every episode....do not judge me by my taste in TV) Kendra's mother, I thought, seemed very proud of Kendra being a girlfriend in a living-vicariously-through sort of way.

    @BelleBreezing: I always had the impression that Kendra was headed down the wrong path before she met Hugh Hefner. I think her mom was happy that she was protected.

    Kendra seems to be a little ditzy, but I love her because she doesn't take her beauty and sex appeal seriously. Then again, she may not have figured out the power of her beauty yet.

    There's a lot I can't understand in this world and most of it is playboy related. Do people (men, I guess?) read playboy? Exactly how much time in Hugh's day (the awake portion, which I'm guessing is about eightish) is actually spent cavorting with these ladies?

    The biggest question of all is does he actually expect us to believe he has sexy times with these ladies?

    Obviously, they're all attractiveish. I'm gay, not blind. My deal is that Hugh is 83 (it's called wikipedia). Now either he's gone to Sweden and had his heart replaced with some of the girls who are no longer in the magazine (has anyone actually seen Ms. May '96 since May of '96?) or he's on viagra, which you can't mix with nitrates (things that olds take for their non May of '96 hearts). Which would lead me to believe any sex he has is of his weiner's own gumption. Having never been that old I just assume it's like being drunk all the time, which everybody knows, is a boner killer.

    This was very long winded and tangent-y because this has kept me up at night for a while now.

    I believe Kendra's mom said she and Kendra didn't speak for three weeks after the announcement bombed.

    I like this show, and I liked 'The girls next door,' but I like a lot of pointless TV. Why is there so much cynicism about Kendra? I don't think the show is meant to be anything profound, but just mindless reality TV.

    @nyc-caribbean-ragazza: I wonder if it was because he didn't want Kendra to be remembered solely as Hef's girlfriend, but as his wife instead? Like this was their opportunity to film a sequel to "Girls Next Door" in which Kendra is not a naieve sex object, but a wife and mother.

    @Gumbina80: I choose to be less optimistic and think that he agreed to be on this show b/c this is how his wife is going to make money. She's still a sex object --- willingly --- on every episode. It's just a new job.
