Not only does it last longer, there's no post-coital dripping or bladder infections.
Nothing but meta-tubes for this SeriesofTubes. As the senator said, we're not a big truck that you can just dump stuff on.

TO me it feels much more slippery and fantastic...and the whole non-issue of jiz everywhere always makes me happy.

Monogamous girls use hormones. Slutty girls use condoms.
Slutty girls have better sex lives. Cuz monogamy is boring.

so i will be on hbc forver, and i am okay with that. though i just switched to the nuvaring, and i'm not sure how much i love it, but it is way cheaper than seasonale and i can get the same frequency of periods, or less.
when i switched from ortho-lo to seasonale i went from sex once a week at most to 4 times a day not being enough.

It's so comfortable -- the other day I realized I still had it in, after a day and half.
Is that too much?

I'm mostly worried about the comfort level--but you've had only good experiences?

No, they're certainly NOT as effective as, say, the pill. But my husband and are planning on popping one out in the next couple years...so if I did get knocked up, it would not be a big deal.

I've been in a LTR for about 5 1/2 years now, don't believe in hormonal birth control and always used condoms. However, the bf has hit a 2 1/2 year dry spell (trust me, it's torture and I don't know how much longer we'll be together), but if we stay together, the diaphragm is where I'm headed, pretty sure. I'm looking up effectiveness stats now!

I love the word: Spermicide.

I've been on it for a month and I can report: no significant weight gain, less oily skin, and the most amazing period ever. I was used to horribly cramps and very heavy period...now it's basically nothing.
so far so good. Oh: it's FREE at my college!! (as are morning-after-pills, lube, and condoms, gyno exams, testing) what a deal

The pill didn't kill my libido, but my anxiety pills are. Just as long as I don't get anorgasmia, I'm not too concerned.

To sum up, condom-free sex is my decision, one that I feel I have approached with maturity, and I'm okay with it. By that same measure however, this is a decision based on my current relationship, rather than an overall attitude. When I was, er, single, my deal breaker was if the guy refused to wear a condom (or if we didn't have any).
One of my friends in intermediate school was a Jehovah's Witness, and she once told me that her mother had said she could only date guys that she would marry. In a roundabout way, this is kind of the standard I apply when thinking about condoms; could I see myself having a child with this guy? (I'm pro-choice, but that isn't really the point of my dilemma)

That's not to say I haven't had my scares (the summer I thought I was pregnant, it turned out I had amenorrhoea), but rather that I actually knew that I had options/choices. Kind of a nice feeling, actually.

Condom-users, FTW!

I also think that for some women, increased enjoyment coming from *not* using a condom would also be predicated on the scale of the male's experience; If a guy's into mutual pleasure and not wearing a condom, he has more feeling for where he's going, and he's potentially more able to the right spots / repeat "what feels good" more frequently.
Then again, w/ condoms, most guys last a little longer...
C'est la vie...

Any man I ever knew who didn't want to use a condom was a selfish lay. Coincidence? Hm.

So what will this mean when we're ready for a baby? Not quite sure. Maybe I'll just have to tough it out through some chronic UTIs until I manage to get pregnant. But for now, it's the best way for both of us to remain infection AND baby-free.
Oh yeah, and I see absolutely no difference between condomless sex and with-condom sex. Personally, I prefer sex without UTIs! ;-P

Funny aside; one time during a medical questionaire my mom who is single was asked her current birth control method. Her response? "Waiting for the child of god." I about fell over laughing.
