Oh I loved her! She was a hell of a dancer, and had these great costumes, and her legs were to die for, even as she aged. And I thought she was pretty in that Hollywood musical kind of way.
So this is what passed for "famous but mediocre" in the 70s? Our standards have apparently dropped considerably since then.

Mitzi is awesome...PBS had a great documentary followed by a special on her the other night and I was totally impressed. She was a comedian, dancer, singer -- and did it all really well.
