    What is WRONG with Abercrombie? I mean, does not a single sensible person work there? Is their legal department totally out to lunch? Why did no one think to say, "We're so sorry, that employee was NOT following company policy and does not represent us. Here's a couple thousand dollars for your trouble"? Because that would have cost them a couple thousand dollars, case closed, nobody thinks Abercrombie is a dick (well, at least not any more than they already do). Instead, you spend many more dollars mounting a defense and a lengthy appeal and finding an expert witness who will essentially say "Yeah, we treated your kid like shit, but other people are also going to treat her like shit, so really you should thank us for toughening her up." It's a total failure of logical thought, legal intelligence, and decent PR. They should be even more ashamed than normal.

    Burberry. I'm sorry, but your idea of compiling photos of people wearing your trenchcoats is just stupid. It's stupid. Not only is it stupid, it's boring. Just listen to the idea: It'll be photos! Photos of people wearing coats!! They'll be wearing coats, get it? Trench coats!!! Yeah. That's your idea. Right there in black and white. And it's bad. And stupid.

    Jenna's grumpiness over "discrete" and "discreet" reminds me of some commenter a few days back, who got spastic over someone using "loosing" in place of "losing." She snapped "You can't loose something unless it's the dogs of war!" and I snorted with laughter.

    A&F is so ridiculous, so delusional, so full of its own importance, and so warped in its view of what is right or wrong and so inept at admitting they made a poor choice, that they need to be the official clothier of the Republican Party.

    I will be interested in seeing Emma Watson's line. I admire her, despite the fact that she is much younger than I (it feels a bit weird to look up to someone younger than me. I guess I will have to get used to it), and think she has great style.

    For American jezzies: any pointers on where to get ethical clothing that is not AA? I did try searching online, but just became befuddled.

    The Rachel Zoe Project really made me respect Rachel Zoe, which was surprising since I couldn't stand her for years.
    I was pleasantly surprised when this arrived in my inbox today---I thought it was smart of her to include the cheaper option. It was a nice nod to reality, but she also didn't make a big fuss about it. It's great to see stylists and tastemakers who want to make fashion, no matter how high-end, attainable to people who admire it.

    I love Rachel Zoe. She strikes me as the kind of person who sees the positive in people, even when it comes to styling. It's not "let's cover her fat ass", it's "let's show off her amazing shoulders".
    And dammit, I tried to hate them, but I think I'm starting to fall for the booties. I almost even bought a cheap pair at Forever 21 a few weeks ago.
