I had my makeout buddy all staked out. I made eyes at him throughout the returns. Then McCain gave his speech and the waterworks started. I was literally sobbing, and by the time I had my shit under control, my fella had disappeared.
But I felt like I had made out with the WORLD, so it was all good.
I was kind of hosed over on election night, since I had a meeting to sit through and then had to wait for returns to come in so I could phone them in to my editor who would then compile the county and state results for our daily papers. Then I had to swing back, write the election results stories and some cute little features before we went to press.
For the liberal media being in the tank for Obama, we sure get screwed out of the make outs on election night.
I kept hearing about all kinds of election night sex, and I for one was waaaaaaayy too inebriated for such a thing. More like "election night falling asleep in your clothes with your glasses on."
All night long my friends and I debated going to Times Square but the celebration that erupted at Columbia was so much fun that I'm glad I stayed on campus.
And yes, I did make out with a few boys that happened to be around. You know, First Base for Obama.
@Jessi Ramsey: It's funny, I grew up in Columbia housing (116 and Claremont represent!) and I remember no partying when Bush 41 was elected. I feel so cheated!
@Jessi Ramsey: I live in the Columbia neighborhood, and sadly was in Brooklyn on election night when the rally erupted outside my apartment. But I did make out with my boyfriend, so it counts!!
@chxation: Ahem, same here. Which is embarrassing to admit; I feel like I may have sullied the awesomeness of the moment, but at least I'll never forget!
I was at the rally in Harlem and hugged a bunch of strangers, but didn't feel compelled to swap spit...because I was crying hysterically. It was pretty awesome though.
yea..... there was plenty making out when the announcement hit the airwaves at my friend's dorm in downtown Chicago... we could HEAR the crowd at Grant Park from there....
the thing is... i think there would have been making out either way - so many people in one place.... if Obama had lost, it would have been sad, confused, consolation sex, so yea.

"You guys... McCain just got on, he's gonna concede. It's over!"
Dammit, I could've been out getting smoochies. =[

By that logic, we can make out with people when the final troops come home from Iraq and Afghanistan.
I can't wait! We need them home.

Also, Mr. Vivelafat cried too, and I don't think I have ever been more attracted to him then I was watching him try and hide his tears! Hot.
See that's what happens when you get married folks, all of a sudden watching your husband be compassionate turns you on.
