Tyra always takes a photo with each cycle's ANTM winner and it always comes across as "Lucky girl! She gets a picture with Tyra!" Her body language here makes it seem like she needs to be taking Teyona's spotlight, but it's not working, man. Teyona is just glow-glow-glowing!

Ok. I love AMTN, I do. But Tyra. How do you expect me to take you seriously in that jumpsuit? Really?

Teyonna looks like she wants to flee from its fearsome presence. I support her decision. She can hide with me, it would be awesome, and we would never wear jumpsuits.

@morninggloria: Isn't it gorgeous? Ok I have seen several dark-skinned black women around with just the most amazing skin! I was at Sephora and there was this woman who was just luminous.

Anyone care to let me in on the secret? Is it just good genes? Intense moisturizer? Highlighting powder?

@RainbowBrite: African origin women have THE best skin around.....its primarily in the genes and then in the exfoliation and moisturizing (a la no ashiness)

@Scout: That was my suspicion actually - that they were avoiding ashiness with mega moisturizers, which makes them glow. Ok I need to get some for me - I often fall victim to white person ashy. :(

May I recommend dry brushing before each shower/bath and then immediately after applying jojoba oil - works wonders

@RainbowBrite: I have recently gotten on the moisturizer boat as a med-dark skinned girl who used to live every day like it was Ash Wednesday. I highly recommend this little natural loofah thing from CVS (or any drugstore I suppose) that comes flat and looks like straw, then poufs into a sponge when wet. I don't even think it has a brand name, just comes in a clear plastic. Exfoliate w/it and some kind of body wash in the shower, then follow up w/aveeno mixed with a squirt of baby oil. It sounds greasy but it's not.

@plantainforbrains: Do you use this scrubber on your face or body only? I think I have something like it in the bath but I never use it.

I've heard quite a few black women mention putting oil on their skin (body skin, not face). Sounds kind of greasy but shit, if that's what Teyona's doing, I'll give it a shot! Any recos for something that won't make me feel like a greased pig?

PS "Ash Wednesday" made me lol
