    My mother has learned how to text. And not only has she learned to text, she has learned all the little slang abbreviations. I am a text nazi and cannot handle texts that do not type out the full words and use correct grammar and punctuation. So when I get texts from my mother that look like this...


    "R u going out 2nite?"


    ...I want to stab my eyes out. She also does this when IMing me. Yes, my mother knows how to IM.

    @TheVaginaWig: My mother has discovered the pre-set texts, and when I get one it makes me INSANE because they sound so unlike her that I start thinking that someone has kidnapped her and is mocking me by telling me how sweet I am.

    Back in the hey-day of MadTV they had a skit in which they had a group of urban folks who's job it was to make up new, cool vernacular. They had a map up and whenever they would hear about someone who should not be using the word, using it, they would immediately have to make up a new one. Like: We just spotted a 56 year old farmer in Idaho saying 'the bomb'. Quick we've got to change it. Let's try 'ebola'. Like, man that shirt is so dope, it's EBOLA!


    This came to mind, now that I know that KLG says "Keepin' It Real", which admittedly was a bit antiquated anyway. Back to the drawing board. Real talk.
